This class will provide guidance for poets submitting to poetry contests and prizes. We will discuss logistics: cover letters, bios, etiquette, and building and tracking a submission pool. We will also explore generative and revision prompts that exercise seven strategies to heighten the potency of poems, and highlight the strengths unique to each poet’s voice.
