Adjacent to the craft questions of creating literature are the practical questions that plague a working writer. How do we successfully swim through the rapids of self-doubt, procrastination, anxiety, and fear that circle like sharks when we dive into the deep waters of the unconscious? Becoming aware of our own writerly rhythms and inner barriers, and learning to write despite them, is key.
Come ready to write, self-reflect, and examine your own writing structures and strategies. We will discuss all the ways in which life, brain chemistry, and society will try to keep you from doing your work and, most importantly, ways to keep writing no matter the internal and external barriers.
